USAgency Air Force One Watch Winner Follow-Up

In April, 2012 the aBlogtoRead.com watch giveaway piece was the USAgency Air Force One bundle. The giveaway included a watch, special box, wallet, and sunglasses. The winner of the giveaway - Ron B. from Israel - has now had some time with the watch and has offered a little review and some pictures. Thank again Ron, and to USAgency Watches:

"First of all, sorry for the long wait for the review, I was very busy lately, and also wanted to spend some time with the watch so I could write an honest opinion about it. In the two months since I got the watch, I enjoyed it very much.

It is lightweight, yet does not feel cheap at all, the weight is perfect, the weight makes it a joy to wear on the wrist even though at 47mm (without the crown) it is by no means a small watch especially on my small-medium sized wrist.

The watch is made almost entirely out of polycarbonate, yet it does not feel "plastic-y" at all, the polymer is rock solid, and way more scratch resistant than I expected, after two months of regular use, the body of the watch is pristine, not a scratch.
The watch is water up to 200M which is very impressive considering the crown is not a screw-down one.

The watch face is clean and easy to read, the gray numbers on the dial along with some red accents blend seamlessly with the design of the watch. Also there are small 24 hour marks on the inner bezel which are great fore anyone who lives in a country that uses a 24h time format (Such as myself, I live in Israel), And also is great for military personnel who also make use of 24 hour time .

The movement is a Swiss made Ronda 515, it is a simple, reliable 1 jeweled quartz movement with a date indicator which from what I experienced is pretty accurate gaining no more than ~13 seconds a month. The unidirectional rotating bezel has a small tritium indicator at the 12hr position and is easy to grip and to rotate, yet stays tight in its place and is hard to turn by mistake.

The glass in this watch is a hardened mineral glass, which although less scratch resistant than sapphire, is less prone to breaking, which is very important due to the military oriented nature of the watch. The main feature on this watch is however its T100 tritium dial illumination, T100 tritium illumination contains 4X more tritium and therefore is much brighter than the T25 illumination that is used in 99% of the tritium watches, the tritium glows almost as brightly as a freshly "charged" traditional glowing paint, and after several minutes the tritium glows much brighter than the glow in the dark paint on my other watches (primarily Casio). The tritium illumination impresses me every time, the time is clear as day, even in pitch black environments. It is so bright it always draws attention to my wrist as soon as the lights go out.

One final thing I would like to say about the watch is its amazing presentation, first, the stunningly beautiful engraving on the back of the watch, the watch has a steel back with a bead blasted finish, and has a highly detailed engraving of the US Presidential Seal on it, USAgency is the only company licensed to engrave this on their watches, and it looks awesome.

And second, the box in which the watch came in, it is probably one of the best looking watch boxes I have seen, it looks just like a book labeled "THE HISTORY OF THE WHITE HOUSE WASHINGTON" also in the box is a white house challenge coin, that is a beautiful show piece and a great topic for conversation.

The sunglasses also included in the giveaway are great, made of high quality glass and steel, I wear them daily and they provide excellent protection during the searing hot Israeli summers. The passport case is great for traveling abroad, in style.

All in all it is a great watch that I enjoy wearing very much, and an amazing giveaway in general. Thank you Ariel Adams from aBlogtoRead.com for giving out such giveaways to your readers. And thank you Michael Gee, and USAgency watch company in general, for your amazing products and service. Michael sent me the package free of charge even though he didn't have to, and I am thankful for it. also, Michael answered each and every question that I had about the watch in the best way possible. Thank you!"
